used tranny what should I replace before installing?
I'm putting a 120k auto tranny off 95 max in my 97 max but not sure if its extreme to change every seal/gasket while its out? I've already got new speed sensor, the seal thats behind torque convt and rear main seal. Should I also buy input and output seals and pan gasket? Its not leaking now and don't want to cause a leak being paranoid. Any tranny experienced opinions?

Why are you changing it out in the first place?
Since you're hell bent on doing this, if it were me .... I'd drop the pan, replace the filter and gasket, do the axle seals (while it's out), and new fluid. I don't think you'll have any problems with it 'slipping' if it isn't already an issue. Not sure where you got that idea Kevin .... ??? If you're going to do the rear main, you'll have to drop the TC and flywheel. Is it leaking? How many miles on the 97'? New speedo sensor is not needed, unless yours wasn't working to begin with.

My 97 has 275,000 and after spinning wheels getting stuck in ice last week its pissing out fluid from tranny. I dropped pan to change filter/gasket but that made it go from a drip to bar tap! Its gotta be seal behind torque convt putting clean fluid made it worse dripping from tranny/engine connect not the pan. so yeah don't wanna but gotta put 95 tranny in
