wind noise fix

Weatherstrip can help fix wind noise. My '99 SE had been wrecked before I bought it and I noticed wind noise by the drivers door when traveling at highway speed. When I ran my finger along the door weatherstripe I could tell there was a bigger clearance along part of the door seal. I bought some black 1/2 self adhesive weatherstrip at Home Depot. I applied the weattherstrip to the doorjam where there was bigger clearance and the wind noise is fixed. In my case I needed a piece about 4 inches long. I cut both ends on a long taper to make the seal better. Also found that the long tubular insulation used to insulate copper pipes can be used to fill the gap by the "A" member. My interior is black and so is the pipe insulation so it looked good when I used it.
