y-pipe nuts and bolts

scenario: budget y-pipe installation on a 99 maxima (fed)
problem: need hardware (see pic below), dealer wants 5$ /bolt, 3$ / nut !!??!!

question: does anyone know the sizes/description of the nuts and bolts pictured below? I'd rather get them from the hardware store, Thanks in advance

I can take a look at the bag of bolts I have that I used and let you know tonight. My dad bought them so I'm not sure right now. My nuts/locking washers look EXACTLY like the ones on the bottom.

I don't know why you have the bolts, but I used 6 nuts, washers, and locking washers.

It went like this:

---------- (header flange)
---------- (gasket)
---------- (y-pipe flange)
- - - (washer - wide)
- - - (locking washer)
- - - (nut)

thanks for the help.

this info should be stickied if it isnt (I couldnt find it)

I always search, its almost embarrassing to ask such basic questions but the funny .org search results usually end up with me on google, hence the pics.

I googled, and got this on the first page

http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...pipe-help.html

If the org search isn't working for you, then search the org with google.

Ah thats my thread. I remember that. I was a noob back then, didn't know how to search either like the OP. Its a lot easier and you get better results using the Advanced Search IMO. Try it sometime.

alright. I can handle that. But, as you will notice, when i make a thread title, i use KEYWORDS that the search engine will pick up. There is as much of an onus for .org users to create clean threads and thread titles as there is to search, because one defuncts the other. No relevant titles = no relevant results. Cliche as the saying goes, Computers are only as smart as the people who program them.

Nowadays, if you type in "y pipe nuts" this thread comes up. Had I already been acquainted with the warspeed help thread and known that it contained the info I was looking for, I would have typed in "warspeed y pipe" or something to that effect. I wasn't, and here we are. And pmohr, I thank you for keeping a clean house.
