Anyone ever had this problem?

Hey Guys,
I was doing a little spring cleaning and washing off all the rustproofing oil from the winter this weekend and I caused myself some grief. I power washed ( I know....I know...) under the hood, and took off my K&N filter and cleaned and oiled it. I drove the car about an hour after that and everything seemed fine. I parked and when I cam back it was really hard to start. Once she got going it seemed fine again until I hit a red light. When I went to take off the car studdered when it hit anything over 2000 rpms. The car idles beautifully, just wont hit those higher revs.
I took off the MAF and cleaned it with MAF cleaner, thinking it was the K&N oil, and I checked all the plugs and coil packs and used electrical contact cleaner on everything I could reach.
I'm getting several error codes each time I reset the CEL and most of them seem to be sensor errors. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this and what I should be looking at.
The error codes are as followes:
1998 Max

0509
0103
0208
0902

The rear O2 sensor has been there forever, just need to change it. The other codes are what worry me.

Thanks for all your help...

not being able to rev sounds like a maf problem.

I didnt check what any of your codes are but there are several resources on the org that you can find them from. From there i would check the connections to those components and make sure they are dried out.

If the revs are limiting you to the 2000 RPM and you can't go any higher than It's defintly the MAF.

Before I reset the CEL the car was throwing out a MAF code as well, but once I reset it and drove it around the block it didnt return. The car sat overnight drying out. Do you guys think I should find a used MAF or try cleaning out this one again?

The problem was still there and annoying as hell. I went out today and sourced a replacement MAF and installed it, reset the ECU and still getting the same issues.
The error codes being shot out from the ECU all seem to be the front O2 sensor
0412
0509
Could I have damaged the front heated o2 sensor while power washing, and would that cause the car to not want to rev over 2k?

i was thinking that perhaps it could be a bad coil pack, any opinions?

i guess i should check the connector to see if its giving the proper voltage and resistance before i go any further. perhaps the replacement i got is defective.
does anyone know if there is a fuse, either in the engine bay or inline some where for the MAF?

Thanks for all your help guys!

never heard of a fuse...might be one.But yeah...ike everyone said...MAF. and power washing engine was not a good idea. Next time use degreaser and light mist of water.

I finally got the car running yesterday, so I thought I should update this.
I downloaded the factory service manual and was looking through the area concerning MAF to check to see that by any chance the one I purchased was faulty. After reading and testing I realized that it could be the ECCS relay. I swapped the ECCS with the FAN 3 realy for testing and fired up the car with no issues.
All those issues and all for a relay. Maybe it was just bad timing with the power washing......
Thanks to everyone for all their help!

I suggest that it may also be possible that you got water into the relay housing. You might pop the top off and take a look and let us know what you find.

It was dry as a bone when i switched it out the first time. I guess it was just a case of bad timing.....
