I've seen one

They are around $500. I would say that they are not worth the money. If you shop around you can get better bass for less money. Better meaning either louder or cleaner, depending on what you are looking for...

I've got one...

...and got mine for around $359 (ooh, which reminds me -- I was supposed to look into a group deal on that). The 10w3 sounds really great and tight in the proper box. One of these babies with about 300w going to it will be more than enough for you for average rock. If you're into boom, then I'd look for something else. Plus, have you seen the way this thing integrates into the trunk?! It's a perfect match with the carpeting, and is very stealthy.

$$$$$$$

Get yourself a 4x8 sheet of 5/8" particle board ($12), some screws and a tube of caulking and whip up your own box. Paint it grey if you want to match the carpet (hahaha).

The stealth boxes are worth the money because they come with a 10W6 (which can takes lots of power) and they fit perfectly in the incove of the trunk. The reason that they are so expensive is because the boxes have the exact internal air space that JL recommends while also fitting perfectly in the space, anyone who has built a box realizes that this is very hard especially with the curvature of the stealthbox.

By the way: I hope Bernie Lomax was kidding with his last post...you don't want to use particle board. Use 3/4" MFD (medium density fiberboard). I've seen people with particle board boxes that you can actually feel the air moving through the wood....now that's funny!

For $500 you could get a custom fiberglass enclosure built and put a better sub in it

That's what I was trying to say, sorry my humor is off, it's Monday...

$500 you could get 2 solo-baric's and a peice of MDF and have your Max bouncing off the ground...

I want a stealthbox so bad I can taste it

But I've been wonering if i shouldn't get a custom box with an Infinity Kappa Perfect instead. I haven't heard one of them to see if it sounds better than the 10w6.

Check out www.jlaudio.com

They used to have a pic on they're web site, bit it isn't there anymore. If you pull up the PDF intallation file, at the very end you can see a B+W pic of it. If you have never seen a Maxima's trunk, you wouldnt even know it's there.

I have 4 12's, what should i do w/ these, I had a box for them but I can't even fit any air in the trunk w/ this box. I want some bass but I don't want to give up any of my
12's, is there any way I could build a box for these and still have room for anything or access to my spare (I doubt it)?
Thanks

If it takes 4 twelves to get the bass you want, you are either trying to intentionally drive yourself deaf, or you have done a very bad installation. I have 2 12's with a box about 14"x12"x28", and I metered at 140 dB with the system tuned for balanced SQ. Now, I don't know if you've ever sat in a car doing 140 dB without earplugs, but it's enough to make your ears numb after about a minute. I assure you, whether you want volume or good sound, you can do it with less than 4 twelves. Hell, my previous system hit 136 dB with a single 10" woofer...

Well, the box wasn't built for these speakers but I didn't want to pay 4 bills to have one built...And I'm not trying to drive myself deaf, I just like knowing that they are there if I need them. Plus, my friend had a Chevy Gaymaro w/ 4 12's and he hit 145 at IASCA so I do know how it sounds, and another one of my friends hit 136 w/ 2 10's and I didn't like how the bass sounded, IMO 10's are weak.
