question about fpr?

I have a jdm fuel pressure regulator and the gauge stop working, so i got a new one and it doesn't work. I checked and even had my mechanic checked and it is hooked up correctly. I think that it could be the rubber diaphragm inside the fpr. But i think it is still working but i am not sure, haven't noticed a diff. in the way the car was running since i first put it on. But while i was adjusting it while the car was running if i turned the screw to far in on the fpr the car would start to die. So i backed it out while squeezing the fuel line to feel the pressure as i would relive the pressure by turning the screw out of the fpr. So i don't know where i have it adjusted but the car seems to be running fine. But gauge doesn't work. If anyone can let me know if there is a rebuild kit for them or am i just stuck buying a new one?

An actual 'JDM' FPR from a VQ, or some sort of aftermarket FPR?

Rebuild kit for the gauge? Unlikely.

Just get a new one, they're relatively cheap.

it is a aftermarket one, I already got a new gauge i was talking about a rebuild kit for the aftermarket fpr. Probably not likely! I'm probably stuck buying a new fpr.

Exactly what type of FPR? Without knowing the brand/model, there's really no way to know whether or not there's a rebuild kit available.

Generally speaking, most of the good ones do have kits available.

No manufacturer name stamped on the FPR itself? Do you have a link to an eBay auction for the same?

Again, no manufacturer name on the FPR itself?

It's cheap enough to buy another one, rather than spending a week looking for a rebuild kit.

Why do you need an FPR, anyway? Are you trying to adjust ignition timing with an SAFC, have any real mods? Any actual need for a different fuel pressure?

Looking through your post history, there's no real indication of any modifications.

I have a obx header back exhaust, cold air intake, and throttle body spacer. I was going to buy a new one to replace it and why not replace it with a after market one and i am also going to be putting in a walbro fuel pump.

Well you don't really need the aftermarket FPR, especially not at your mod level (nor the Walbro), but okay then.

Easiest (if you want to keep this route) is just to buy another one.

Why do you need an adjustable FPR?
What was wrong with the stock one? Why do you need a Walbro fuel pump?
Seems like your just creating problems for yourself.

So your going to boost?
IMO, you should just wait. There are other mods you could do that with that money that would actually give you gains.
All your going to be doing is creating an issue, and then installing another part to solve it, waste of money really since no gains are being made from installing those parts. Im boosted and dont run an AFPR, a Walbro however is needed.

Is it the newly designed OBX headers or the older ones?
Catback exhaust wont do much for performance anyways.
