vacuum hose reattachment

is there some illustrative information on where the vacuum hoses are attached where the intake is? There is a shiny little tube on the intake plastic part that a vacuum hose attaches to, and there's another small shiny tube facing down on the intake as well where another vacuum hose attaches...I have one vacuum hose that has a dounle insulation like to protect iot from heat where does that go? I know I should have marked them before I took them off.

Look at the underside of your hood near the driver side. You'll see a diagram. That diagram saved my *** when I was re-doing my vac. lines.

Aftermarket intake? That's what it sounds like.

What brand intake?

Have a pic?

IlyaK-thanks I'll check that out!!
Pmohr-stock maxima intake...I forget what the thing with the metal flap inside is called oh yea the throttle body!!
There's a small little metal tube that points directly down under the TB and I think that a vacuum hose connects to it. And on the other big plastic accordian next to the MAF there's another small shiny metal tube that a vac.hose connects to...Right now there's an unconnected vac hose with that double rubber insulating slip over it that I mentioned earlier...like a protector from heat...

Most of the lines going to the TB are coolant lines...

The vacuum line directly beneath the TB goes to the vacuum gallery, IIRC the one that makes it's way to the FPR.

The one on the resonator goes to the EVAP canister, at least it did on my car. This is where the insulated line goes, I believe.

What year/emissions spec are you?

99 fed. Pmohr, when you say vacuum gallery, are you referring to the mass of tangled steel tubes that join the hoses underneath the TB?

I snapped this hose as it was on so tight when I was removing the tb.. there was enough slack to put it back on luckly.

Is this a critical line? I'll have to try Nissan I think because of the whole double insulated

I used Napa/Auto Store hoses, no problems.
