is it too much...?

its been awhile sence ive been here and theres something that ive been pondering about.When is it too much miles to do anything to your engine cause i have roughly 173xxx miles on my max and Ive been continplating about turboing or supercharging it and i dont know if its the safest thing to do at this point.Also my clutch is damn near dead so that needs replacing,i smell it buring now so that suxs. So in short should i go on with the force induction or just save up for a Z just let me know if am wasten my time with this car cause ireally like my max thanks.......

Did you search at all?

Long story short, as long as the engine is in good condition, there'll be no problems. Do a compression and leakdown, send out the oil for a UOA.

UOA == Used Oil Analysis.

And don't ask how. Just search.

There's more to it than that, but good compression is a good sign.

I'm running a high performance VQ30DE with high compression pistons (10.0:1), large valves (1.4in intake, 1.2in exhaust), bored and stroked to 182 cid (93x73.3), microfinished and lightweight internals, with a custom air induction and exhaust system.

Psh, my i4 11.5:1 high compression piston cast iron block running 16.5:1 A/F with 20 psi with custom air induction to air cooled chamber with forged diverter valve fully tuned by GIAC with an increase of over 20% in power will rape you any day of the week pmohr

(basically the specs pmohr just ran off are stock VG30DE specs...)
