The code is specifically for the harness or the TCM. Have you worked either in the center dash or under the hood recently?

And weren't you asking about this same code in your other thread?

Sorry man...I'm kinda very beginner for car service.. Your expert help is much appreciated ...Sorry for my messing things !!!

has anyone altered w/ the ECM/TCM harness? could have a short in one of those wires thus transferring incorrect voltage.

check and see if the harness connectors are plugged in all the way. then try resetting the ecu to see if the code goes away.

Yea ... for one, read and follow the rules of the forums! http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...e-posting.html

If you have replaced the TCM, it's likely the harness that is bad or has a bad spot.

Question about OBD II codes P0600 and P0500 and speedometer.

Hi everyone. I recently purchased a '97 Maxima SE, so I am new to the Nissan world and to the forum. I didn't realize Maxima's had such a great following. I am glad I found this forum!

I have looked through the forum about the codes P0600 and P0500. Plus, My speedometer stops working every now and then. From what I have read, I think that I need to start by taking a look at the cluster and do some repairs. I think that the speedometer is causing both error codes. Any information on how to check and narrow down the problem or possible fixes would be greatly appreciated.

See my answer in your other post on this that you made in the "I am new here and have a question" thread.

And please don't be making multiple posts for the same problem. We don't like that.
