Engine check light (funny story)

i live in State College PA home of Penn State. i was driving down town today following an old guy in his buick regal. i rly wasnt paying any attention and wasnt speeding. he brake checked me i locked up my wheels and slid into him. before this minor accident my cars engine check light was on and i couldent find the reason for this. after i hit the car i was like "****" my cars my baby so i felt like it was the end of the world. both cars were fine and the old guy thought is was his fualt wen really it was mine. so we let me go without swapping any info. now my check engine light is off? what could b the reason for this?

Loose connection that you had isn't loose anymore.

Knowing Happy Valley as I do when you hit one of those spring potholes that's as big as a moon crater and it will come back on.

If that happens you might want to look at all your sensor connections and clean them.
