Need help with some codes

The service engine soon light has been on for the past week. I checked the codes today and got TPS(4 long - 3 short), EGRC Solenoid valve(10 long - 5 short), and front left heated O2 sensor (3 long - 3 short). The check engine light came on during a long road trip. I have had the TPS code pop up before on long road trips, but not the other two codes. Any ideas? Could the codes be related?

The car drives fine for the most part. If I am cruising as a constant speed and then slowly lay into the gas, its not a smooth transition sometimes. I really have replaced the spark plugs.

FWIW it's best if you post the codes, not the descriptions (or both).

Well...what do you mean any ideas?

Have you not yet tested any of the components that set a code? Checked the harness connectors, nothing?

Seems like the first logical step to me.

I added the number of blinks next to each code above. My point in asking was to see if the codes are possibly related.

It's possible, if it's a harness issue. That's why you need to give the area (at the very least) a visual check...

Alrite, I'll check the harness later on today. Should I check it at each of those sensors? Or another particular place?

Visual check of all the sensors that set codes, check the connectors on each of them for corrosion, reseat the connectors. Then reset the codes, see which come back.

Your wife doesn't have P1005, because there is no P1005 DTC.

I haven't fixed it yet. Still need to check the harness and such. I going to reset the codes and see which ones come back.

Looks to me like you're mixing up the MIL and consult codes. As pmohr pointed out, there is no p1005 DTC. But (from page EC-65 in my 95 FSM)there IS a 105 MIL code for the EGRC Solenoid valve.

And (FWIW) a 32 MIL DTC - a general EGR code -that drove me crazy for a long time turned out to be only the EGR and canister control SV. A $94 part from the dealer that took about 15 minutes to change.

10 longs and 5 shorts doesn't mean 1005. You need to go to the stickie at the top of the 4th Gen forum and there will be a thread with a link where you input the long flashes and the short flashes and it will give you the issue.

1005, yes. P1005? No.

To keep things less confusing you should really always pad the code out to 4 digits. For example, a KS code isn't 34, it's 0304. Some codes can be tricky like that, for example 105 is 1005.

Well, it does mean 1005. but not P1005.

And you can download the FSM for free, see my sig. Also if you're wondering what a code means, also see my sig.

For example, 1005 for a '95:
Code: P1400 | Description: EGRC Solenoid/Valve
