rpm not working on vq30dek

it didn't work, but every thing is working except this.
the IACV valve was bad so i swap with the one old, make the proper changes and every thing is like a charm,
for make the iacv swap i follow some of the tuts here in the site.

make sure there is continuity from the ecu pin#5 to the pin #17 in the back of the speedometer.
Although it seems like if there where wiring issues its probley from the crankshaft sensors like pmhor stated

What do you mean you swapped with the 'old' one? If you're using the USIM, there's only one IACV you can really use. Did you swap in a DE-K, or was it just a DE?
You had the hacked up engine control harness, right? Seriously, just buy a new engine harness. You've already proved once that the wiring can not be trusted.
Anyway, have you not checked for a tach signal at the ECU?
And you never answered about the engine harness-dash harness connections.

no, it's was working before the swap
it wasnt touched at all when the hacked was maked to the engine.

You wouldn't buy it from the dealer anyway, they'd charge a good $1500+.
If you haven't checked...then check, seriously.
So you did not remove the engine harness from the car to splice the two ends together? If you did, then you unplugged the engine-dash harness connectors.

i just cut the old wires who were go to replace and solder the new ones,, no plug unplug necessary, didn't touched the ecu even, it was all made near the engine, i didn't touched interior wiring at all.
so did the speedometer have a fuse ?
so did the speedometer have a fuse ?

So, have you checked for an RPM reading at the ECU yet?
If not, do so.

i think there's confusion here, the clock that shows the revolution when you push the accelerator is the RPM right,? that's the one that's not working on my car,
the other, the one that show the speed of the car, i think speedometer, its working right.
pmohr says:
So, have you checked for an RPM reading at the ECU yet?
i don't know how to do that.

Yes, the tach displays RPM.
It's pin 5 on the ECU harness connector, you should see it pulsing up to ~5 volt, IIRC. If you have a scope, or an aftermarket tach, all the better.

dude you are a human fsm....... it is 5v it took me a while to page though the fsm to figure out that pin 5 goes to pin 17(speedo harness) but i did see that it is 5v going from the tach to the ecu(#5) but i suppose it would be easier to see if there is 5v going to the ecu than seeing if there is continuity from the ecu and the harness

i'm going the check, and post later, but now after your clarification its nothing about the swap then, just for curiosity, whats the sensor that control this, rpm, just for recheck the wiring before check the continuity.
