wheelmax.com question
I want to order these m5 racing harts 17x7 at wheelmax but the tires that come with them are 205/40/17 toyo.....is that a good tire size? will my car be ok with these tires? my stock tires are 205/65/15...i did a search on tire size and almost everyone has 235/45/17

Why dont u just order the wheels and tires separately so u can get the proper tires? I think 205/40 will be way too low of a profile. Your speedometer will read 5-10 mph higher than you're actually going. If you dont mind that and the huge wheelwell gap that you'll get, then go ahead.

I ordered from WheelMax...
I got my Racing Hart CP-035s from them. The guy recommended me up the size to 215/45/17 when I told him I had a Maxima. Ley me tell you he was wrong I should have upped them way more. DO NOT get the 205s, they are meant for Hondas with small wheelswells. If you go to my website you can see I have 215s and they look too small. 205 would just plain kill the looks. But anyways if you tell them you have a Maxima they will still reccoment the wrong tire size. Buy what .Org people tell you they are the BEST IN THE WORLD!!!

Do not go with that 205/40 18 youll hate life
1. NO sidewall whatsoever
2. Speedometer will be off
3. Thats the wrong size for those wheels
Get 235/45, that is the correct fitment for a 17 inch rim. Heck you can go to a 245, but Id stay with the 235. And I see your problem is the 7 so tell whomever you need to fit 235.

See what he just posted listen to him you should go with a 17x8 rim your tire options are better and better handling as well. Dont be so conservative when it comes to rims and tires is a lot of money to spend. With a 17x8 rim your tire will not buldge. And we are only talking about $2-300,. Hell my wife has a galant and I am going to get her some 17x7 with 215 on it. Your car will look funny with 17x7 and those small 225/45 17x7 wheels but listen your choice your money handle your business.
