Anybody know where we can get just the glass to replace the plastic with the stock headlight housings? I know there is polish and sanding, none of it's working and the lens (plastic) seems to be getting even more foggy the more I work with it. So ... I just want glass lens' to replace the stock plastic. TIA!

Unless you can find some 97-99 CE glass headlights (discontinued), you may be out of luck! I know someone was recently selling a pair of retro'd CE glass headlights, and ahhh they were siK! Or like Pmohr said, 95/96 is your second best bet!

They'll fit about as well as the Cefiro 1 piece lights too. Less of a curved contour on the outer headlight face. I tried seeing how my stock I30 lights fit on my Maxima. Not great.Originally Posted by BLACKonBLACK98

You cannot simply swap the lenses. The housings that use the glass lenses are styled after the 95-96 housings and have a flat backing as to where the 97-99 lenses have curved backs to fit the 97-99 housings. Trust me, I tried.Originally Posted by JtzMax

The CE glass headlights were the same as the Ebay units, and once again they were styled after the 95-96 headlihgts, just with clear lenses.Originally Posted by tcaughey

Well ... since I have retrored my stock housings, I would have to mod the 95 - 96 housings - maybe not worth it. Perhaps I can find some cleaner plastic for the 97 - 99 housings .... just use that. Thank you all for the input, sucks ... but whatchya gonna do?

Im confused. You've got 97-99 headlights, right? And you're looking for 97-99 style glass replacements, right? Why all the "go get some 95/96 headlights" suggestions, because IMO, the 97-00 style looks better and outputs better than the 95-96 style...

BECAUSE, the 95-96 replacments have clear glass lenses, no fogging or yellowing.Originally Posted by MOHFpro90

I find that hard to believe. Ive taken headlights that were so cloudy you could not seem through them at all and got them crystal clear. Started 800, then 1200, and finished up with 2000. Once they were really smooth, buffed the heck out of them.

If i might I just polished my headlights and it worked great. I got the 3M one like this:
http://www.repaintsupply.com/pd-3m-3...ion-system.cfm
It comes with all the stuff you need and attaches to a drill which makes it way easier.

So ... it works well? I have tired several 'other' products, but none of them last. I have been sanding / buffing this (pass side) light for quite a while, at least several months. It keeps glossing over - doesn't seem to matter the product used. If this works for the long run, I'd gladly give it a try. $15 seems worth it, considering some of the polish alone can cost $$$$. Good to note on the 95-97 lights .... wonder why they switched to plastic at all anyway, cost maybe?
