Removing Fender...

Well its time to replace the drivers side door hindges but before I go tackleing the job, I figured I would ask you guys how hard of a job it is to take off the fender and re-install it ??

I was thinking it shouldnt be too hard of a job but I thought i'd ask

It isn't too much work, but rather time consuming. You have to open the door and hood, plus take off the wheel well cover which connects to the bumper. 3 or 4 nuts iirc.

goodluck, i swapped out door hinges and the door sagged even more after replacing them. adjusted them and it still didnt hold

How come ?? Its play within the hinge, therefore if you replace them, it should fix it.

Did you do one at a time or took the entire door off and tried to remount it ??

Also was the door completely supported while attaching and secruing the hinges?

I also took off both fenders in order to replace the hinges from driver and passanger side. It wasn't difficult at all only time consuming, as previously stated.

I thought the doors would function correctly by not sagging, but to my surprise both doors were worse than before. What i recommend u doing is adjusting ur old hinges instead of replacing them. A body shop did this for me while it was in the process of repainting.

i took the door off completly, and my brother was holding the door while i was bolting it back on...
