Sentra CAI fits on 00vi 4th gen
Not to bump any old threads, I just wanted to share some info on what I did for the intake on my 00vi today. I have a place racing intake for the maxima, but as soon as I installed the 00vi the cold air part of the intake no longer worked so I just installed a pop charger and called it a day.
My brother just turbo charged his 92 sentra and took his place racing cai off (obviously) and i was looking at it and was like...this will fit my maxima...
So if you take the Cold air part off a 91-94 nissan sentra flip it upside down and use the short part from the maxima kit it works. And it fits well, I still have the battery up front and the pipe wraps nicely around it as if it was designed for the car.
So not that we need yet another discussion on what intake style is better.... thats not the point here....just found another option for those of us that like the cai option.

Indeed, pics would be nice.
FYI, your sig pic is too big. Yours is 700x247, way too wide. 550x325 is the limit, overall.

Since people seem to have FORGOTTEN the rules...
As a courtesy to others, please avoid extra wide signatures. They are annoying to others. When your sig is so wide that it makes other users scroll to read the whole thread it is annoying and time-consuming. A good guide is 550 pixels wide at the widest. Also, please avoid extremely long signatures as well. 325 pixels will be considered the limit of signature height.

here was mine:
honestly though, the CAI setup was a bit more sluggish than the short ram setup.
More pressure losses due to a longer tube. More bends and longer tube = more pressure losses. i would have rather gone w/ the 5th gen oem airbox setup. now, i just find CAI's too much of a hassle and none really give you any gains. OEM ftw!

Longer tube is not bad, its good (assuming your cone filter is in a cool/cold spot), but in your case longer tube is bad, because you didn't take off that big resonator box and accordion thing between the MAF and TB. Everything between the MAF and TB should be replaced with a smooth pipe, wheather you're running a CAI, short ram, or even stock. That's the most restrictive part of the intake.

So let me get this straight ...
You originally had a PR CAI
You then installed a 00VI
After that, the hollow PR CAI, that doesn't have any working mechanical parts, stopped working ...
You then installed a pop charger, that still doesn't have any working mechanical parts, and that worked
After that you had a crazy notion to try installing another CAI, after another CAI that was specifically made for your car stopped working.
Now that I have that straightened out ... my question is ...
Why?
To me it doesn't make any sense. I know it's 3am and I'm at work, but I read the thread 3 times, and it still doesn't make sense.

What kind of strut bar is that?
