Eibach Pro-Kit & GR2's

I'm about to order this stuff and I'm looking for the best place to buy from. So far I've found the eibach pro-kit for my '99 maxima at drivewire.com for 228.58 shipped. Any better deals out there? Feel free to let me know where I can get a good deal on kyb gr2's as well.

Advanced Suspension, Chassis, and Braking Talk about suspension geometry, advanced handling/chassis setup, custom brakes, etc. NOT your basic brake pads and "best drop" Information.

That Eibach Pro-Kit price is great. As far as Gr-2, If you can afford it, I suggest the AGX adjustables from KYB. Thats what I got and i love it

I'm looking to go with the same set up. I have the Eibachs and I'm contemplating on the GR-2's. I'm just looking for a comfortable ride, but not so mushy.

To help a bit with the GR2/ AGX debate... I've got an RX7 with the GR2's and a friend has one with AGX's. We've both got the same Racingbeat springs, and there's a much noticeable difference in the two with the AGX in their stiffest position. For the little bit of extra money, I'd go with the AGX's off of ebay. The only reason I personally don't have them now is because I bought my spring/ shock combo used. GL.

Tokico Blues are also known to be a stock replacement. They're in the same boat as the GR2's.

if yer gonna get Eibach springs, go wit an adjustable shock such as most people hav said... koni yellows are too expensive but if you're ready to pay that kind of money then go for it... otherwise go wit tokico illuminas or kyb agx's... id rather go with the illuminas, especially since u liv in NJ where the cold weather affects the stiffness of the agx's...

the lowest prices i found:

eibach springs - $226

tokico illuminas - $480

Its funny how you will pay $500 on Illuminas and ***** that Konis are only $100 more. Illuminas are almost as bad as AGX.

Buy used Eibachs for $150, heck Ive seen them sell for as low as $80.

I bought my AGX's and Eibach's for less than that.

About the Koni's; Even though they're only $100 extra than Illumina's, people are turned away from them because the fronts are inserts and the rears have to be taken off the car to be adjusted.

I have blues on my progress springs, a bit softer spring but similar drop. I absolutely hate them. They're alright if you just want the look of being lowered and need new shocks, I guess...

I've learned my lesson and I'm going straight to konis next.

Elaborate.... Why do you hate them?

I'm looking for a step away from handling and closer to comfort. I'm not asking for stock but a bit closer to it. I'm thinking H&R springs paired with a tokico/GR-2...

JSutter, If the Konis give me more suspension travel. Would that equal a nicer ride (no bottoming out ect.)????

The dampening sucks. Can get a little bouncy on rough roads. They just don't perform for s***. Just bit the bullet and go with koni's.

it's not a jarring feeling that I get when I hit the bumps like a stiff spring and proper dampers. It's basically the dampers being over powered by the spring and it continues to go up and down.

The least you could do is get adjustable struts. I've read good reviews about H&R's paired with Illumina's.

Eibach Springs

You should get the H&R springs with the kyb struts as you will get a better ride.

That is some funny stuff^^^^^lol

As for my option for Koni, I not there. Noob as I might be, I'm no strut maker. Lol

illuminas/H&R are what I'm aiming for. But just for kicks what setting are Tokico blues = Illuminas setting???
GR2 = AGX setting

I'm currently running AGX/S Techs....

Both are going to ride like complete **** on stock struts.

Comfort= Illumina's and H&R on softest setting.

I'm koni user too, for the first moment, I really like how this shock give the quality ride. I really like the ride with this absorber.

I bought it on January 2008, and my car was rarely used (only 2,000 km from January 2008 until now). Last December, I put tein s tech spring and 350z 17" rims on my car. And I feel that the absorber is to soft.

Last month when I found a thread here said that koni rear absorber also have rebound adjustment. So I bring my car to be adjusted @ local shop (I live in Indonesia) and guess, what they said? My left rear absorber was blown already. I really don't know how could I got this sucks thing.

I believe Koni > any absorber for our car. I just wanna share my bad experience and right now I have to wait for back order-ing new Koni absorber. Because I believe that Koni absorber last longer than any absorber.
