need help asap with a 96

so my cousin has a 96 GXE. Just had all of the gaskets on the motor replaced, changed KS and rear bank 02 sensor. Well he got the car back and there is a ticking sound coming from the IACV. It sounds like a clock ticking. Its got a rythem just like a clock. Anyone know what it could be???

Not sure if this will help the issue but is the gasket on properly. I've even messed around and put the gasket on wrong one time. Make sure all electrical connections are connected and do the same with the hoses.

i get that ticking too sometimes after I turn the car off or when I have the key in the acc. position. Its def. an electrical switch ticking noise but I never knew what it was.

I think the IACV has a relay of some sort in it. Its normal and not uncommon.

I wouldnt say its normal, but it is common.

My I30 was doing this after I cleaned the IACV. I happened to have an extra IACV so I swapped it out and the noise went away.

Id say its pretty normal and/or common on Nissans in general. My 95 Max ticks at idle from IACV, my 07 Spec did it, my 08 Spec did it, my 03 Spec does it.
