Gauge light issue

My gauge lights stopped working the other day. I had to jump my car from my dads truck, dont know if that could have done it. But I have checked every fuse that seemed related, I know the dimmer isnt set down. So any ideas?

Bad dimmer possibly. Or a bad ground.

I've said it many times before, guess I'll say it again.

If you're having an electrical issue, you check EVERY fuse, not just the ones that 'seem relevant'.

So are we to assume that all of the other illumination controlled lights come on when you turn on the parking lights or headlights?

You say you 'know' that the dimmer switch isn't all the way down, but did you actually check it? Always check the simple things first, even if you 'know' they're not causing the problem.

Have you checked that you're getting illumination power at the cluster? Have you checked the ground? Bypassed the dimmer switch?

I had same issue, it is due to Alty sending wrong Voltage. The very reason you may had to Jump start. My case was a higher voltage (as the sensor was busted) your might be other way around.

Thanks for the help, I took phmohr's advice ( it would be dumb not to) and checked all the fuses. I blew a tail light fuse under the hood and that caused all the problems.
