Wiper blades difference??

I changed my wiper blades like 3 months ago. I don't recall the brand, but I bought it at Kragen, and it wasn't any of the more reknown brands (like 3M or bosch). I noticed that they are noisier than the stock ones when they wipe...everything else is fine. Does the rubber of wiper blades vary significantly??

usually its the length that matters. some blades have different designs that have multiple blades on each blade to help it wipe off snow and slush. maybe you bought one of those kind and its louder because it has more friction against the glass

yeah. Try polishing your glass...clean out any contaminants in it. It should help out.

And Nissan OEMs ones have worked best for me...try those.

Try RainX on the windscreen and remember to clean the wiper blades... >>

...every so often. Wash the blades in warm soapy water, and then with a clean paper towel and isopropyl (rubbing) alchohol, rub the rubber wiper edge. You'll see a significant amount of black come off onto the paper towel. This is the old, dryed out rubber coming off. In doing this, you'll expose fresh rubber.

But, keep in mind, that after about 6 t o8 months, you should probably replace the blades completely.

As for brands, stay away from Pylon, their blades have plastic arms which flex too much and cause squeaking and rattling of the blades as they travel across the windscreen. Bosch is good, but pricey. I've found that Anco is the best balance between performance, durability and price.
