Odometer Malfunction

Anyone know if the odometer on a 95 is a cable or electronic?.. mine seems to have stopped (not necessarily a bad thing)... How much does is cost to replace?

It's electronic.

My fiances 95 Nissan truck has the same problem. The speedo still works but the odometers only work intermittently.

I have no idea what the cause or solution is though.
