Ambient light in Maxima

I was wondering if anyone has ever done this mod before? I've seen it in my cousins 03 Accord. It's a small LED light that beams down from the map light down to the radio/shifter. Here's a link of what i'm talking about..

Nah, it's a small LED that beams down when you turn your headlights on the first click.

Theoretically you could do this by hooking up a LED and wiring it to the lights so that the LED would turn on when the lights come on (because it's dark).

But it'd probably cause too much trouble than it's worth.

If you need to see something at night? Turn on the MAP light.

He's referring to a mood light that the Acura TL's, etc. have.

I'm planning to do this myself. It's VERY dim...like a 3mm 6,000mcd LED...maybe two to spread it out.

Buy pre-wired LED's on EBay and just find a place to wire them. You can probably do it all for under $10.

well, i was thinking about doing what the 2006 Mercedes CLS500 AMG cars have.. they have ambient light everywhere, under the driver passenger seats, under dash, inside the door handles, on the roof, i mean just everywhere. gives it a vip look. but thats just me.. it's gonna be alot of wiring. i know that much. and money.

I'm gonna try to do a little bit of both. Hopefully I can drill some perfect sized holes for the LEDS!
