Y pipe installed, getting smoke from the pipes? Like evaporating...

Once the pipes get warm, it starts smoking from the pipes. I looked underneath the car and it seems to be coming from the pipes themselves, not the flanges/seals.

Is this oxidation or something being released?

the dirt is burning off... completely normal

Give us an update after you drive it for a bit. Shouldn't have any problems.

i had the exact same problem, my tip was, not exaggerating, black by 2 weeks. cleaned it up and now its all shiny and new!

smells terrible while it smokes though...

the grease and oil from your own hands that leaves ur finger prints all over the pipe will also begin to burn causing the smoke effect.
