is it safe to drill about an inch into the footrest to install a custom pedal set footrest...I'd like to make sure I'm not gonna hit anything behind there before I attempt to do this...anyone know if there is something directly behind the footrest...??? I have an automatic if that helps...thanks

are you referring to the "dead pedal". Some kits come with this pedal.

What kind of covers can you get for the dead pedal? The corner edge of mine is getting a bit worn, so I'm looking for something to cover it with.

Not bad- you can recognize from just that bit peeking out? I gotta check out your stereo next time- looks like you've got some good stuff in there.

I got an OBX "type-R" (whatever) chrome pedal set...it came with the footrest pedal...so I may as well use it. I think I'll get the chrome/carbon fiber shift lever as well as the I30 interior handles to bring everything together...
