Is this my IACV?

Hi,
Okay I search and search the stickies and I get a good idea on how to clean the TB and the IAC (along with new gaskets)...call me stupid but I'm not 100% sure where exactly the IAC is located...even after looking at some pics...so I want to be certain ...

Is this where?? (The red circle)

Thanks

No..that's your throttle position sensor....you see the tube that goes from the air box and connect behind your throttle position sensor?.. where it connect, that is your IACV...Idle Air Control Valve.

Em. What do you need to recalibrate if you disconnect those connections? Because I just did both TB and IACV and didn't recalibrate anything, just cleaned them and put them back.

well you dont have to recalibrate anything if you didnt take it off.
i didnt say he had to recalibrate it if he disconnected the wires, he did, please learn to read.
by touch it was insinuated that it meant dont detach. sorry if that wasn't clear.

I'm trying to learn to read your typed writing, but am having trouble making out anything coherent. I'm sure it's the font.

Yes you do. You disconnect the electrical connectors. Disconnect the tubes. Have a rag to catch the few drops of coolant that will come out from the coolant lines. It's covered in a bunch of threads on here, with photos. Just search for it.

Does anyone know what that vacuum hose is that doesn't connect anywhere? I was about to make a new thread, but noticed in his picture his hose not connecting anywhere either. I'm assuming it's normal?

Yes it is supposed to be there. I don't know what it's called though.

Yes this is normal. This hose is a breather hose that points down and is not connected to anything. Have no fear.

The hose is located near the large breather hose on the front valve cover. It appears to connected to the transmission at the bottom. It is a hard rubber hose that has it's open, upper end molded to face downward.
Below is where the above quote comes from. There's a lot of helpful info there besides...
