Which Honda/Acura can an automatic Maxima take out?

I have a '96 Maxima, and it's relatively stock. All I have done are 18" rims with Nitto tires, and Focuz universal exhaust; not exactly real performance mods. I'm sure that an automatic Maxima can take out regular Civics, non V6 Accords, and non GSR Integras. Any others? I don't usually race, but willing to if someone initiated the race. I never raced any other cars other than the above mentioned cars. So, I have no experiences with V6 Accords, Integra GSR, or Civic SI.
Uh. Lots.
I'm being conservative here.
Intega GSR 5-spds should walk you, 0-60 or top end. 3.2TL should beat you at the top, as well as 0-60 (however 0-60 is debatable). Don't even bother with a 3.2CL Type S.
Civic Si's should beat you. Integra Type R should slaughter most Maximas.
Not sure about the V6 Accord.
I don't know for sure. Some guys here have beaten 3.2TL's pretty handly, despite the TL's stock HP and displacement advantage.... so it probably depends. As there is a TL in the family, I don't think a 2000+ 3.2TL would be an easy victory if at all (dyno'ed my dad's at 167.7fwhp, 174 fw-lb-ft), but a modded Maxima should easily take a stock TL.

"This is from a previous post of mine on what stock auto maxs can take on the road"
Well, I am bored so I guess I will bite.... I have an auto too, and when it was stock I raced anything I could find. I also took it to the 1/8 mile track and lined it up with lots of street legal cars. Lets start with Mustangs. If it is a stock four or six, it is a waste of time, because the Maxima(auto) will pull. The 5.0 are fun because if they have kept it stock then it is a close race, any mods, and you might be in trouble. The 4.6 is not as hard as the 5.0 and I have inched on them before and 100+ I started to pull. Cobras or anything higher, you will get a good look at their exhaust until you get really into mods. Camaro's are similar to mustangs, if they don't have an 8 and are stock then they get embarrassed by the Max. You can't take a z-28. I tried to at the track and he beat me by about 1 car in the 1/8 mile, and that is because he couldn't drive and I got a jump on him at the tree. GS-300 is not much of a problem, it is hard to find someone that drives this car and wants to race you though. GS-400, if they use their gas pedal then you are smoked. I was doing 90mph once and I saw those front beams coming up quick so I floored it but they kept coming. It past me when I was doing about 120mph like I was setting steal. I hit about 137mph and its taillights were still floating away. Lets see what else Cadilacs... OK STS your in trouble SLS you have a chance the others have decent top end but grandpa and grandma don't like to race. Hondas, never had any major problems with any of them. The new 2 door accord coupe was smoked at the track, but he did have an (auto). Prelude SI is very fun, but if you keep your wits about you then you can take it. At least I have in top end, of the line it might inch. Acura's 6spd two door Legends will had you your ***, well it is not that bad, but they are mean. They have four doors then it is more evenly matched. Acura integras never had a problem with unless they were heavily modded. One guy smoked my *** to 120 but after that he didn't have anything left, must have been a gear or limiter or something. Anyway, I don't have time to go into everything, but this is my experiences, with my car, when stock.

Hondas that a stock auto 4th gen can beat. this is from what i've actually done and what i gather from various mags.
these are stock
Civic - anything but an SI
teg's - gs-r and type r are trouble
Accords - any year, any motor any amount of doors
Prelude - Si, close one, anything else we should beat. type sh Prelude is an auto with sport shift
S2000 - do you even have to ask?
Passport - umm, yeah
Del Sol - see civic, except the SI part
CRX - dunno
3.2 TL - stock for stock, 0-60 no, 1/4, it's close
CL - dunno, Type S = nope
MDX - see pathfinder
NSX - unless you're Don from Texas, oh hell no
and last but not least, Insight - if it was going down hill in a hurricane and you weren't in the hurricane, yes

I've raced all civics except the SI. They are a joke. From a standstill you will put a car on them right after you cross the intersection. And it only gets worse. On the highway. HA! I've raced a stock looking EX. At least he didn't have exhaust. I walked him at will! New Accord 4cylinder. Joke. I dono if he was 5-speed or auto. But I raced one on the highway. He never had a chance! I traffic raced a V6 Accord Coupe. Beat him. But thats only because I had the suspension stuff..=) I zig zagged him to death. =) Integra.. 5-speed LS.. I've raced.. It was kinda close.. I had half a car on him by 60... I was steadily walking away.. I shut down.. its a street damn it. The LS auto would be an easy kill. The car has no torque. GS-R 5-speed. Raced my friend's when he had just an iceman intake. And I had a JWT intake. He may have had exhaust then too. Forgot. 0-50.. I had half a car on him. Raced him on the highway. 50-120.. I was ahead from about 50-90.. About by a hood.. Then about 110 rolled around and he walked right past me. I only had intake then... he def. had intake and exhaust by then.. And maybe even an ITR clutch. NSX.. HA!! Don't bother. Those things have high end like crazy!! Race one just to watch how fast it will leave you.. I've driven one.. sick.. You really don't actually feel it on the inside. Maybe its the lack of big torque. But you can tell when the needle sweeps from 130-150 like the max goes 80-110.. I generally lay off civics though.. At least modded looking ones. Engines swaps are popular around here. But hey, if they wanna run.. Why not.. =)
I wouldn't be too scared of any of the Honda/Acuras.. None of them will slaughter you except maybe the S2000, CL-S, NSX.

Ditch the 18s...
That will make it much easier for you off the line, Cumalot. Do you still have your stock wheels? Maybe you can put those on when you feel like a night of racing.
Accords: Should be no problem. Lemme put it this way:The Max has more(useful) aftermarket support right now than the V6 does. The 4cyl models barely have anything, since they are ULEV engines. They haven't gotten much more than an intake and exhaust.
Civics: If he's a really good driver, and SI owner might give you a little trouble. The other models aren't a problem.
Integras: The LS and RS models shouldn't give you any trouble. GS-Rs will prolly walk you if you leave the 18s on, and a Type Rs will definitely walk you, 18s or not.
Preludes: It's the torquiest 4cyl Honda offers in the States, but an auto shouldn't be too much trouble. A manny shifted one will walk you, tho.
S2000:You figure it out.
NSX:Ditto
TL:It will be very close. If you have your 18s on, don't bother.
CL and CL Type S:Very close loss, even with the standard CL. And that's with stock-sized wheels. Forget the Type S. He'll smoke you like a a BBQ brisket.
RL:Need I even mention this one? Go take him out...if you can find someone that wants to race with one.

CRX - a stock CRX yes you will beat... a slightly modified Si will be close. But keep in mind, for some reason there are a lot more CRX sleepers out there. What may look like a stock one will probably blow your doors away. AMHIK.

Its like them new Celicas. They are so light. The small HP increase from mods make more of a difference because the car is so light. 6hp to a crx is maybe like 9hp to a CRX for off the line performance.

Wow, you guys definitely have more racing experiences than me. I don't know why, but I only get domestics such as Mustangs, Camaros, etc. that wanted to race me. I don't often get imports wanting to race me. I don't know why. I think I will have to get Don's VB upgrade when I get the funds to do it because I think my auto transmission really suck right now. Anyway, thanks for the information guys. Sometime I would tell my friend that I raced the night before, they would say something like, "You raced your Maxima? Aren't they slow *** family sedan?"
Maybe that's why I don't get many imports racing me, they think my Maxima isn't worthy of racing them. Hm...guess I have to show them.

Yeah..
Most Honda's/Acura's don't look at a maxima as a fast car. But it's pretty easy to change their mind, just rev the engine a bit =P. Someone said that a TL 3.2 will getcha. I raced one back when I was entirely stock, and it wasn't a pure straightaway race, but I was still about to keep it together. He got me by about a carlength, but this is back when I didn't know jack so I had the a/c on, and a bunch of other stupid things hehe. You should be able to beat an auto TL 3.2 if you're prepared for it. A manual will rip ya though.

Lol Racing with fat people..
I've got a 120lb box in the trunk so I consider my car to be carrying 2 people at all times. The only other person I'll race with is a 100lb girl =).. Yeah, I'm pretty sure either of the acura's will be beatable with a minor +hp upgrade or a stickshift. Or err, less than 3 fat people in the car hehe.
With just a few mods, and lighter wheels you will be suprised what you can race and even more by what you can beat.
I've even raced a s2000. No I didn't win, but its wasn't half as bad of a loss as I thought it would be. That was before the CAI even!
