AGM Battery with pics

Today I installed one of the freebie batteries I picked up from work. Its a 55Ah AGM that was replaced out of a fire alarm panel at the Casino. Every two years they replace these perfectly good batteries for preventative maintenance.
According to this website http://firststartbatteries.com.au/battery-range.html
a 55Ah AGM is good for 550 CCA, and it cranks the Max faster than the old 525 CCA Exide was.

I got two free Werker batteries, the crappy one that looks like it caught fire was the original from the max.

+1 Go to any store that sells batteries and ask if they carry any passenger car battery with under 300 CCA. I'll paypal you $1 if you find one.

Now if you mean, when the battery was tested, it only had 225 CCA... Thats a different story.

After six years I finally replaced this AGM Werker battery with it equally old twin. The old girl was cranking slow and causing some hard start issues. New (old) battery in and she's cranking like Gary Busey again.

That's pretty impressive. I've had to replace my various name brand agm batteries every season.
