Rear DS Brake Caliper Issues

I was doing a routine brake pad replacement (forgot to change DS brake pads when I changed PS caliper) nothing fancy, but I've run into a hell of a hard time trying to get the piston back in place, I've turned it CW about as far as it is willing to go, i even tried pulling it out all the way by turning it CCW and then trying to turn it CW to see if it loosens up but to no avail it will reach a certain point and not budge any further which does not give me enough room to mount it back in place with the new pads. I was thinking about removing the brake fluid hose to see if that would relieve some pressure. I'm almost to the point of just replacing the caliper altogether because I think the piston might be seized. but if anyone can suggest anything I can do to fix it, that would be appreciated. Thanks.

im no expert on brakes.. but iirc you might be abled to go in the car and pump the brakes several times until the master cylinder's solenoids push out.. might relieve some pressure...

Did you remove the brake resevoir cap? My left rear caliper piston got stuck until I removed the brake resevoir cap. I presume the brake fluid had nowhere to go

Clockwise should be the way to turn it...Are you using the tool for it or just trying to do it with needle nose pliers?

sometimes when that happens that means that ur pads got to low and ur piston went out to far! meaning its stuck. it gets debri around the outside and all the movement of it going in and out can jam it. it happened to mine my mechanic had to bang it a lil then he was finally able to start turning it and yeah ur going to have to take caliper completly off to do this!

What everyone said seems like good ideas. I will def take if off and try to get it in, if that doesn't work I'll just have to get a new one

Thanks.

yeah I forgot to take off the E-Brake Line Bracket when I gave them the Core , so had to make another trip to autozone to get it and mount it on the new core.

Brake Calipers

Can a caliper be fine at night and then go out the next day ? I'm getting ready to tackle this. I live in KC and it is snowing. Good times!
