Accident

Today driving to work I avoided rearending someone by careening into a Curb, OUCH! Did that Hurt, Broke My Rim, and Tweaked my Suspension. I can't wait to see the bill on this one, oughta be great. Can't find these rims anymore so I have to by a new Set. Plus New Tires, not to mention what else I might need under the suspension. Any Guesses?

I feel your pain! A few months ago I was in an accident where I was pinned between a Chevy 2500 series pickup and the curb! I bent the tierods and the control arms. Thankfully that was all. I can't imagine that you'd be much worse off.

As for the wheel, my insurance company had mine repaired and refinished for $150, but then weren't bent or broken, just torn up.

Are you going through your insurance? They should cover the rim and the tire minus wear.

Glad that noone was hurt!

I did the same

i broke my sway bar connect and my lower control arm and bent a rim when colliding with a curb

anyway i fixed it my self in about 8 hours after i got the parts

rim refinished = $100 (got screwed on that)

lower control arm from salvage yard = $50

sway bar connect = $11

4 wheel lifetime alignment and balance = 170

total= 331

if you wanna know how ill post some instructions... very easy... i think i still have all the torque specs... the parts guy at the dealership will usually give you them if you need them

i live in dallas if you really need help and live in the area

At least you were okay. What caused the near rearending in the first place? They stop short?
