I think its pretty beast, what size turbo are you looking at throwing in there....are you gonna replace the stock radiator with a half-size race one to open up more flow for the intake?

lol I cant reveal all the details of my build at the moment but to answer your second question, no I will probably put the Mishimoto aluminum one. I have a BlackWorks radiator in there now and I'm not to thrilled with it to be honest.

A little bit egotistical wouldn't you say? That's your opinion. When he's all done, I'm sure it will look as good as yours and maybe even better with the tuck. Carry on Dark_man_X... Looking forward to the finished product, whenever that may be.

Yeh mine is leaking from from the welds around the filler neck and the top hose, not a big leak but its there you know.

Ok guys here are some pictures as it sits now as my daily.

Remember the engine harness, EVAP, stock intake, and the drivers side body harness are all temporary due to me trying to pass emissions when I was living in GA.

Things still on the list to do before the new motor is ready to go in:
-fill unused holes/ shave certain parts of the bay
-wiper delete
-Brake line tuck
-fully trimmed/tucked engine harness
-paint

Sorry for the bad quality, I don't have the steadiest hands lol

That is sick man. Looks clean as hell. How many wrench hours went into getting it that pristine?

^ umm man I couldn't even give you a number. Mainly just messing with it day by day or whenever i felt like it lol.

As soon as i can find the right daily I'll be stripping this one down for some much need attention (body work, bay work, cage measurements and what have you). I'm going all out on this build so there wont be any detail overlooked.

Gave me aspiration to do this to mine. Have been working on it for ~2 weeks. I must say its a PITA! lol but overall I think it will be worth it. I "dislike" cluttered engine bays. Im not going AS extreme as you are (I need wipers and dont feel the necessity to delete the PS), but AC is gone, and PS lines will be ran under the car in either a closed system or the reservoir will be relocated in the bumper area somewhere.

Thank you for giving me the push to do this! Oh and good job

Uh, his car "was" hot. You have to remember his car was done like that a long time ago. It was clean, and well modded for its time.
Of course now with everyone on slammed coilovers, and flush fitments its a bit dated.

right, thats basically what i was getting it. hes talking like the car in his sig would be innovative or something right now. everything about the car in his sig has been done many times over since hes been gone...humility.

You really can't discredit the man just because many people decided to duplicate his car. First, no one has done anything similar to their engine bay since. He was still among the first, if not THE first person to roll on the EVO's and then everyone, to this day, has been on the bandwagon. He came up with the G35 LED tails idea. Two tone seats, in dash tv, headrest tv's and other nice mods on an otherwise a 2-3 year old car. Its hard to argue that tony, jason and oss didn't play a role in the community.

im not discrediting him at all. he was a pioneer, he was the first to do some things, but the fact remains that its not unique today. you cant have a "my **** dont stink" attitude when you have the same ****. feel me. he basically told the OP that hes wasting his time, its ugly, his is better, etc. and i was just stating that it was awesome back then, but the community caught up. he should be happy for that.

and as far as his engine bay, sure his bay was clean, and he had some polished/chromed parts. but theres other bays that look just as nice, if not nicer, depending on who you ask. i happen to think the wizards bay is nicer for obvious reasons (S/C), doublea's will be when hes done imo (everything is chrome on his engine, heck, on the car), theres a few more in the underhood pics thread. but yes, he did play an important role in the community.

That stripped engine sure is clean!

The adavantage of having a tucked engine is it makes much more easier to repair. Helping a friend replace the timing chain on his tucked 300ZX sure was easy.

Looks really good, I think if u paint the bay a candy purple it'll look sweet and make it POP. Have u considered doing the booster delete? I'm considering this for mine since i think I need to replace my brake booster. blinded out valve cover, intake manifold and a custom "loopy" front header (kinda like the lovefab ones) would top it off nicely...

Haha I remember this thread from back then.

And even today I still think the same thing, AWESOME! Also now there is enough room to hide a body in the engine bay

Yeh i have def considered a booster delete. Still kind of on the fence about it since the motor is going to be built and what not I don't want to have to stand up on the brake pedal to stop my car when Im going real fast you know. I may just take the vacuum from it and drive it for a while to get a feel for it. Also idk what it would be like with the cobra/wilwood brake setup sooo.

As far a paint goes, I will be painting the car hopefully around tax season so the bay is going to be the same color as I want to do the car (crimson black).

I know right, its not bad at all lol. Honestly I like no PS better than having PS. Especially when driving spiritedly(?) you really feel everything.

Im not "brave" enough to venture into the realm of no PS, but as far as AC goes, all but one of my cars haven't had AC and the one that did, I didn't use. Here in Kansas, we have weeks of 100+ weather, but I just roll down the windows.

And if that doesn't work, just go faster lol I just fixed my ****ing brakes today. They are ****ed in the back, had to rip out 2 slider bolts lol. I don't think my rears are doin much. I might poke fun at the old rotors and post a pic of them later lol.
