Drivers Window Problem - not typical
Drivers Window Problem - not typical
ok so i did a search and went through pages and pages of threads but everyone else that has a problem with their windows has a problem with them going up.
my drivers window on the otherhand has problems going down. it also did this on my last 4th gen and was never able to fix.
ok, ill try to explain...the rubber at top of doorskin where the window goes into the door, on the inside of the window is what causes this. when you start rolling the window down that rubber will fold over making the space tighter and causing the window to drag and not want to go down. i thought i had found a solution in another thread saying to spray the rubber tracks with silicone. i did this last night and it almost seems to have made it worst.
im surprised to not find threads about this as like i said its my 2nd 4th gen to do it. could i take a razor and cut that rubber down so it doesnt touch window at all? should a glue felt or something to inside of that rubber to make it slicker and not catch?
someone please help
thanks in advance

you know my car does the same thing only on some days not everyday
when it happens i roll up then put a card in there to keep it from catching, my windows are tinted are yours?
i guess felt could work ... maybe a really good cleaning and some wax on the glass? keep us posted on any tricks you decided trying i would try something my self but its too cold here

waxed both sides of the glass(even though only inside rubber catches) and after one day, so far so good. hasnt done it once, but again, its only been one day...will keep ya updated
My car had the same problem, silicone worked for a while. That part is like $16-17. I finally changed it, had to pull the inside door off, did not take long.
Just make sure you are getting the correct part.
