SS or OEM brake lines????

SS or OEM brake lines????

I'm gonna be changing all my calipers and pads and figured I might as well do the brake lines as well but I'm a little worried bout getting SS lines due to them rupturing or fraying from rubbing into other components. I just wanted to know if anyone has SS lines on for a while and if they had any issues (Goodridge lines or some quality lines, not ebay). I know you can secure them out of the way of anything so there's no rubbing, has this worked out for you?

I haven't had any expierience with them on a maxima, but from people who own them on other cars they replaced them for more of a peace of mind, they didn't really notice the "Increased response" or anything like that... But these people also track their cars often, so they need that peace of mind...

I did my whole clutch line, and I didn't notice more responsiveness... just more engine vibration transferred to the pedal though, which is good to know in some cases.

If I was in your position, I would do a full SS replacement, that's just me though.

I had technafits front SS brakeline that I got from a vender and both broke on me. One went out on me about 2 years ago and the other went out a few months ago. I went back to stock.

ss lines are pretty much oem lines wraped in stainless steel braid so it doesn't stretch under high load

Do you know why yours failed? Rubbing or low quality?

They were rubbing against my strut.
