ok this is gonna determine if i get rod of the maxima for a newer one. i have converted my 99 maxima from auto to manual a few years back. its time for inspection and I still keep getting a p1706 neutral saftey switch. i have the reverse lights portion wired up correctly but there are two more wires not yet connected. when the cruise conrtol is on and i pop it out of gear it just revs higher and higher cause the switch isnt connected to the ECU. My question is have any of you 5 speed convert guys successfully connected this and got it working. I cant get thru inspection cause the car keeps throwing a code. I tried clearing the code with my scanner but by the time all the monitors back on and ready it throws the code.....

well no check engine light yet but im still waiting on the ECU to turn back all the monitors on as well. still waiting on o2. i gotta get this thing thru inspection or i swear im making a coffee table out of it
