Strange Misfiring
Strange Misfiring
I could use some help from some actual gearheads. I have a 95 Maxima SE, 5spd
It sat for a little over a week in my dad's garage on account of the hellacious snow storm the mid atlantic region received last week. I picked it up today, drove 10 miles to the bank, ran perfect. Started her up and left the bank for home, ran perfect. I took a shower and when I came out and started her up, she's misfiring like a motherf*****. I pop the hood and pull each of the 3 injector plugs that I have access to and idle drops equally across the board. That rules out a problem with the front bank. Basically it sounds like it's only running on 3 cylinders.
Why would the rear bank just all of the sudden crap out like that? This is extremely frustrating.
Any ideas?

There are actually 6 coils, one per cylinder. Fuel delivery wont, or shouldnt, just up and occur like that. I think that some further investigation will be required. I know that you need air, fuel, and spark for the engine to run. Obviously, there is air because the engine ran. Next, if the engine ran perfect on previous trips, fuel delivery shouldnt be too big a concern. The next, spark-if it was in a garage, mice have this nasty habit of chewing into wires. It is possible that a mouse got ahold of something close and got your ignition primary wires. But, the only real way to tell is to do a visual of the back 3 coil harness. They are visible in the upper intake manifold at the back of the engine.
Im an idiot. I wasnt paying any attention to the coils under the cover. I had to stand there and stare for 30-45 minutes to figure out what I was missing. And I just did plugs over the summer too. I should lay off the ganj
Update.
No codes, no CEL, Cylinder 5 is dead. Further diagnosis to follow. It's cold, dark, and windy

Resistance check on injector #5 failed, open circuit. So it looks like I need new injectors, at least for the rear bank so I don't have to take off the intake mani in a few weeks to replace another. Anyone have any experiences with remanufactured injectors? I can get OEM for close to 110 a pop, and reman.'d are only 46 and some change.
