Ksport .. Question

So I actually ordered the ebiach prokit to lower my car but the more I look at the Cars on here look good the lower they go so I was think why not sell my prokit i haven't even put em on yet!! and get ksports. Here's the issue, everyone that I've told this to tells me he ksport are trash. If that's the case what's a good brand coilover. I used to own a ms3 and I spent some cash to get bc coils and loved em I just don't feel like spending that much cash again.

What do you want out of the car? that's the first question you need to answer.

Well good ride. And good drop. Like I said I wanna go with the 18" maxima or the 18" 350z wheels. And I was told ebiach with toks was the way to go but toks are 499$ and the ebiach springs are 225& so 775 or a lil more and get way more adj. I dunno I'm so confused lol

More like ftl in my opinion. I wouldnt want to run springs/struts as I adjust mine and need specific height requirements.

I have ksport coilovers. Love them.

keep in mind that the Ksports have been redesigned. The upper pillowball mount is now in cased in about 2 1/2 inches of urethane which makes the ride, eventhough being low so much smoother and abit closer to stock. the adjustable struts now have tension clicks when adjusting your ride from soft to firm and the internals have gotten some upgrades too. ive had no problems with my ksports for about a year.

I live in Houston and the roads oi here suck. So they lasted a year would you say a harsh year or a cushy year lol.

And let's say I keep my ebiach, Koni what???

A little of both. I live in Houston also. I came from eibach & tokico blues that I had on for years no problems either. Just found that I wanted to go a little lower.

I also have to "new" K-Sports. Came from Eibachs and AGX's and the ride, despite height, is better. Car is lowered close to 2 inches and the only issues I have are axles and tires rubbing.

That's because you lowered the car too much.

Maxima suspension geometry does not allow that much lowering without causing problems. lowering a FWD more than 2" = fail.

Oh I totally agree. But I consider those as accepted issues when having that low of a car.

when you say the k sports have been redesigned, which ones do you mean, the Kontrol pro or Version RR damper?.... would either one be ok? I had progess/illumina set up on my last max and loved it, but wanted to go lower, so this might be the first time with coilovers....

I dont know about the gt's.
I do know I have some road race only set up coilovers which I hate. It rides so hard and its on the softest setting!! I contacted K Sport and i'm telling them to recommend me something!. I wanted to know if K Sport springs can be swapped with a softer spring. That is all. Im sure I can most likely use different springs. Am looking for a 2.5 drop..
What other 4th gen guys ride on K's??
