Headers + YPipe for under 200 dollars?

Has anyone taken a look at Custom Maxima lately? I did, just now, since I saw the 4th gen forum is now "sponsored" by them.

I saw this http://www.custommaxima.com/product/...s/Default.aspx

Really? That seems like a hell of a good price!

Am I missing something?

Looks pretty good, but I saw same setup on ebay for 150 bucks...everything included. 100 bucks extra for delivery. I ddint see the delivery price on the custommax website.

They look like the same ones on ebay, which usually go for under $200 shipped.

i got some from x-tune for like 300. you will feel the difference and definitely hear the difference. before the headers my exhaust and engine was quiet. now when i floor it pulls hard after like 4000 rpm. worth every penny. if you dont install them yourself it will be very pricey to install. i paid about 350. i dont do any work on my car lol... everything ends up costing me double... oh well.

its $219 to ship to dallas...still seems like a great deal..it says dynoed @10 hp gain..seems kinda small for that setup tho bc people with just ypipe claim to gain 15ish alone..

10 Hp is a safe number to claim. The manufacturer doesnt want to overshoot so he sd 10 be conservative. All Y-pipes for the most part look tha same. Only difference some come as aluminzed steel and some come 304 SS.

10 Hp u would have to time to be able to tell a difference. dont think u can "feel" a difference.

Headers IMO dont do much. But the Y-pipe on ebay is like 130 bucks, for 20 bucks more u can get the header + y-pipe combo. Might as well get the combo. Dont care who u are, SS in the engine bay looks dope

Just go with WS. Its proven to be great, I have one of the $200 y pipes, and is VERY noticable in power gains. It WILL make your car VERY LOUD if you change your stock exhaust more than just the y pipe. Its ur car tho, my experience is you get what you pay for, most of the time. My $0.02.

Mike, did you get yours custom fabbed from the Shea shops?

+1 on the WS ypipe although with an exhaust, sounds kind of drony at 2k rpms. Headers do have a slight affect but it is more cost effective to do ypipe on a 4th gen than headers but if you have plans to do something more, it is good to get headers as well.

Headers do very little, there should be a difference if you get long tube headers vs. the stock short ones but w/ our 3.0L I don't think there would be that much of a difference in terms of power... Now in terms of sound... Night (short) and day (long).

And the headers in question in this thread are basically stock replacements, they look to have the same bends... Just SS and will outlive the car.
