try to slide a panel popper or a flathead screwdriver w a folded paper towel and try to pry it near the bottom.

not sure if you've got it or just gave up but here's a tip: try spraying wd 40 on the little ball joint. on my drivers side i pulled so hard that the plastic just broke and the balljoint did not separate. on my passenger side i sprayed wd40 and it came out much easier, and more importantly, intact. good luck!

I find it easiest to use a long standard screwdriver and stick it down in between the shoulder on the little ball and the metal. Gently twist it to get it loose, then it should almost fall out in your hand. A flashlight helps.

You're simply afraid of breaking it... I was too and I said **** it and yanked and it popped out without breaking. Its just a ball-socket type tab. Just make sure you did remove the phillips screw on top

After you get the top screw out, stick a flat head between the headlight and the corner light. Pry gently so that the edge of the corner light that is nearest to the headlight moves away from it. It will make a loud popping sound and will come out. Try searching on the forum though. Might be able to see the other techniques other people used.

I had the same problem yesterday but since the lens is already cracked, I figured I would just muscle it. I thought for sure it would break but popped out ok.

Now onto my problem... since the lense was cracked it would sometimes fill up with water. The water caused the bottom mounted 1157 bulb socket to rust out so when I put in a new bulb it won't work. I tried to take a wire brush to it but still no go.

Any idea where I can get a new bulb socket? I already found a new lens to order so the problem won't happen again.

Thanks.

Here is a link to the lens that I am look at... Does it look like it comes with the new socket/bulb?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=170445199716

Guess I can wait until it arrives but would rather know if I can stop looking.

Thanks

it looks like it does in the picture, and it even says it comes with a bulb and wire harness.
