40hp @ Redline is 40hp, auto or manual, you will definitely feel the difference.

How do you plan on setting up your 00VI?

lol it sounds pretty damn good but my 0-60 is about 7.5 seconds with a perfect launch... so im guessing the 1/4 mile would be pretty bad =/
im buying an srt-4 pretty soon so that should be enough speed for me lol
just wondering what other things i can add to make this car a bit faster without FI

car sounds good. Definitely has an intake of some sort.
Judging by the 1st vid, it must be an auto...
Oh and srt 4 in stock form (test drove one before buying my current maxima) is not that much faster than a 4th gen maxima to tell you the truth... Modded they are beasts.

Hrmm, I question that... As I've stated many times before I'll state again, I'll take my slower 4th gen vs. any stg.II skittles (SRT-4), skittles are awesome for going fast in a straight line... and that's it.

SCmax, the sound is awesome, and as for setting up your 00VI you really need to study the subject some more. There isn't a "universal omg super awesome power setup", each person who 00VI's has their own needs and goals to be met, which is why they're sooo many variations of it. You really need to figure out what you want to do and what your budget allows for a 00VI.... For example... my 00VI setup would have been everything 5th gen, w/ a PF TB+whatever IACV works with it (I'm no longer doing 00VI, but that's how I would have done it) and a VAFC or EU.

Honestly, since this isn't your main project car just get a MEVI and call it a day.

yes it has a frankencar with an apexi filter, and the entire exhaust is warpspeed i guess except the muffler.

well i really dont know if i should keep it or not. im going away for college this year and my "rich" uncle told me hes buying a graduation car...the problems with this car is the horrible mpg, its really really stiff suspension and the sounds it makes over every bump, it has kyb shocks and some kind of struts, i forgot. ohh and for some reason the paint on the hood, front fenders, and front bumper is black and extremely chipped , the color of car is everdeep green but it blends in with the black without noticing..

yea thats pretty much it so idk whether i should keep it or not, it was my HS beater basically and no tickets/accidents with my WOT shifting all the time *knock on fake wood*

tell me what you guys think would be my best bet =]

Sounds pretty decent... I paid less for my max though so take that

As for the SRT4... my buddy had one for a few years. He got it when it had 16k miles and sold it at 90k. I drove that car at 145mph through Arkansas and Missouri while ne napped cuz we took the wrong exit and back tracked 500 miles on our way back from Atlanta to Chicago lol

I was rather surprised at how reliable it actually was for being a Dodge product... only things he changed was calipers, 2 power steering pumps, and TPS harness. Not bad for the abuse he put on it

lol i like what im hearing so far
the only problem im facing now is finding one thats not abused and has decent miles lol, and from what im hearing , they just add a big turbo like a delta HTA 60 for like 900 bucks and add some supporting mods, and they easily hit high 10s with radials 0.o

yea but its true what they say... those things are mainly all straight line, not too great in the corners. I'd still choose a 2002-03 6spd over SRT4 anyday.

well ive driven both, and yes i know the 02-03 6 speed are awesome but ehh idk i just wanted to get something that would be a speed demon kind of, although no doubt a 5.5 gen is hella fast lol

and nah those srt4s have a nice a$$ suspension with a quife LSD ... hmm idk lol oh and i hated maximas cause the MPG that we "I" get
