Car sitting for only a week and a dead battery?!

hey guys- long time no post.

I have since gotten another car and now the max is my "beater" I have not been driving her on a daily basis. Since I have stopped driving her everyday, I have developed a problem with the car being completely dead after about a week of sitting. I don't have any aftermarket parts draining, and had the car checked out- eveything appears to be normal. I have gone through 3 batteries under warranty since the new year. The battery is a brand new yellow top!!!! I cant possibly have gotten 3 bad ones in a row. I know that dealers keep chargers around because the cars sit idle for a while, but i would htink that the car should be able to sit for week. I never had this problem b/c I never let the car sit for longer periods of time. Any thoughts? Im super annoyed right now.

Dealers cars never 'sit' unstarted for more than 1 week (used cars) and 2 weeks (new cars) and they usually do need the charger/quick start battery to crank them.

My suggestion - buy a Quick Disconnect for you positive battery post - and disconnect it when not running the car.

Jus disconnect the leads and nothin will drain the battery.

WHat yr is the car...i have hard that on some 99s the immobilizer or alarm will drain the battery.
