The black and orange O-rings are not "seals", they are O-ring gaskets. The seals that go bad are the shaft seals, they look like a crank main seal or cam seal and are not replaceable.
If water is coming out the weep hole it means the Shat seals and bearings are toast and the whole pump needs replaced.
Also I did not see mentioned that pouring cold or ambient temp coolant or water into an overheated motor WILL crack a block or head unless your very lucky.
As well, exhaust gasses can enter the cooling system without any other symptoms, some shops have a tool to check the radiator for exhaust using a dye solution.
Good luck, but be prepared to find more problems.

and yes the whole pump set is online not just one piece... and the gasket that youre talking about is like 3 bucks

Oil being burned will be blue smoke, not black. Look at the smoke from you 2 stroke weed whacker next time your running it. Black smoke is a very very rich Air/Fuel Mixture

You should just buy the whole assembly. The way the Maxima thermostat is, I don't think you can change just the thermostat.

You have all of the knowledge you need to do this, just go out and do it!

If you do everythin per the FSM then u shd be fine. Plus u got us for pointers. Jus DONT drop anythin in the timing chain cover and remember that timing chain tensioner is gonna spring out and u WILL need to hold that down somehow.

 

If you DO drop the spring and piston from the timing chain tensioner into the timing cover, it may not be the end of the world.....if you're lucky. It happened to me when replacing the TC tensioner. I wasn't careful enough about keeping the assembly together after loosening the mounting screws. I was lucky enough to fish out the parts with a mechanic's magnet that has an extension handle. Very lucky.

 

I've been having a leaky radiator lately. i usually have to top it off with about a quarter jug of 50/50 every two to three weeks. Just the other day i found that the leak was coming from the top left corner where the plastic top meets the rest of it. i just ordered a new one and will be installing it as soon as it arrives. its quite a simple job as long as you take your time.

 

This isn't a radiator issue and other than the draining, a radiator is a 20 minute job on our cars.

why yes i did. It was the water pump and tstat. cost me about 250 bucks but it was well worth it.. There were 3 broken pump fans in my oil so yea 0.o

 

i just replaced my radiator and the leak was comming from the top of the radiator.. where the plastic meets the aluminum.. i replaced the radiator and dat was it.. but if ur cap to the back up tank is cracked.. its losing pressure and probably coming from there too..

So yes thats the "$190" paint job, might not be the best ever but definitely a 100000000x better than the way the car looked before!
now the question is how can i bring life to the car =]

 

Maybe it's just me, but if I had a massive coolant leak, fixing it would take priority over a new paint job. At least you got it fixed before the engine ended up like a certain white GXE I know...
