cluster issues

cluster issues

so i jux got a 98 cluster for my 95 maxima gxe, i tried to install it but the plugs in the back are different, shouldn't it be plug and play? or what do i have to do? thanks

95-96 Maxima's have analog clusters
97-99 Maxima's have digital clusters

Correct, even though the 97 is a 4.5 gen, they still have the analog odometer (though SE's got red needles over the old black ones), and also the autoclimate control on the 97 is the same as the old style. It's like they didn't quite roll out all the changes till 98.
