drop scenario

I've done a lot of internet searches and read plenty of threads and I came up with Illuminas or AGX with H&R springs, to give a comfortable stock like ride with a drop.

There are a few elements I didn't add in. Two 12's in the trunk, an adult passenger in the back seat and ONE DAY "18 or "19 wheels.

Including the elements I just gave, what shock/strut and spring combination will provide me with the smoothest UN-harsh ride (I'm not interested bouncing all the way down I-5), without sagging or bottoming out and still have a descent drop???

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Illumina + H&R. I'm on them with 18" wheels and can have a car of adults and luggage and have a ride that's no different than stock. I got that setup because from my research 2 years ago, that was the setup that people said was the most comfortable. Now I see why. No questions asked, if you want a stock like ride with the look of a lowered car, Illumina + H&R is your ONLY option.

Not to mention this questions has been asked a gazillion times. Heres a pic of my girls car on AGX's and H&R's. Theres nothing in the trunk and she has a 3.5 which is a little lighter than the 3.0.

REAL1, you're right, it's definitely a matter of opinion.

ajcool2, I know it's been asked quite a few times but I'm having difficulty in deciding and need some personal attention in the matter.

Thank you both for your input, it's much appreciated!

That doesn't exist.

I would put the Illuminas up front, they will give you the best ride coupled with H&R springs.

Now for your "elements", to help with the load use Koni shocks in the rear. They have an adjustable perch, set them at the upper level. That will help keep your ride level with the additional load you'll be carrying.

You got me beat on that one, LOL! What did you for coving your spare in the trunk (if you kept in there)? My trunk board is warped and I'm trying to find a reliable solution.

AGX's wont give you a comfortable stock like ride. They are pretty stiff, and get stiffer with colder weather. They are a bit cheaper then the Illuminas but dont ride as nice.

A piece of 1\2" plywood cut to size(in t shape, trace the carpet) works well for me and only cost ~$10 plus I can screw my sub box\amps down to it to keep them from moving.

And the plot thickens.... lol. Illuminas with H&R is a good option but some people say that the rear looks sagged with H&R, and it definitely will with passengers in the rear. Tein H-Techs give a better stance with the rear slightly higher...
