Section 10 pages 2-3 of your user manual... If you don't have one then read your Fuel Door.

Still doesn't answer your question? Search... The whole forum. IIRC Every Maxima req's Premium (Not so sure on the L series motors though).

Premium turns your max up to ludicrous speeds.

87 turns it into a shopping cart.

Yup everyone said it ! (including me) regular gas is bad for the max and pretty much turns it into a VG30E powered car. It wont have that mid range GIDDY UP @ GO !! to it.
As far as actual dyno proven horsepower and torque numbers go though I don't think anyone on this site really knows.

cause there aren't many on this site who are serious enough to dyno and dumb enough to run low octane with only a fan blowing on their motor.

True enough! I dont think anyone would actually dyno their car while running low octane gas with or without a knock sensor

Whats this 87/93 you speak of. I thought we only had 120v here and 220v in europe.

it's 120
http://www.kropla.com/electric2.htm
Actually, I should've been more consistent. It's 120v nominally. I have no clue why our computer power supplies are rated at 110. Same with Europe, it's 240v but again computer power supplies show 220.

Edit: I have found the answer:
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/electrical-...ection-14.html
Apparently, it's supplied at 120/240 but resistance makes it 110/220 by the time it gets to your plug. The 110/220 rating on your appliance simply means it can run with voltages as low as 110/220.

not to mention it burns cleaner leaving less deposits in the engine so your engine keeps it's own power longer anyway.

This and the other octane thread makes me want to switch to 91 sooner than I was planning. I haven't seen any gas stations selling 93 or I'd switch to that.
