Ground wire opinion

Hey everyone, just made and installed some yesterday, my unbiased impression is that I doubt extra HP, however, the 2-1 down shift was super improved, and was more responsive with less throttle. I did not reset the computer (naughty me) because I didnt want to see improvements based on that. I have had sets on a few newer cars with zero results, but I figure after 12 years sensors etc get lazy and any help might make a difference? I did clean my old stock ground points 2 weeks ago 1st to see if that would do it, but I didnt really notice anything from that. I see this mod kinda like UDP and light flywheel, doesnt show on dyno but will improve butt dyno feel, which is really what counts!

http://www.vqpower.com/v2/news.php?readmore=136 plus I added one to the transmission case by the factory ground, right inside the splash shield. Was actually surprised it worked!

That is weird. It should not add any horsepower at all. All it is designed to do is put a little less stress on the electrical system. I've done this mod a couple of years ago, and it did nothing but add asthetics. But if you think it did add horsepower then more power to ya

I did a quick Grounding job on my Max, Fixed up All the factory Grounds, added the Usual ones, and an extra Tranny Ground. Fixed alot of the dimming from the extra 1000 Watts RMS i daily drain.

But, for the record; extra grounding is only for updating the factory grounds not for making extra ponies.

Maybe my post was worded wrong?? I said I doubt it added hp. I likened it to UDP and lightened flywheels in that it doesnt add hp, but improves driveability. A mod can add seat of pants with response etc, without actually adding hp. I think it just made certain sensors respond quicker and improved a couple things that are issues, IE: transmission downshifting

This is a definite must on our 10+ year old cars. 8 gauge wire is fine.

I went from tranny to battery. I might try to ground the ecm and tcm this weekend also. Does anyone have instructions on doing those two things?
