'equal' length headers fitment

So I'm all excited because I read a few threads from here and VQ power where some have taken obx kits designed for the 02-03 vq35 and fit them successfully on their 4th gens. I have a friend that is selling is SE-R Altima. He has the OBX 'equal' length design headers on the car currently and I can score them for a fraction of the price new for the OBX headers for 4th gens. From what I see they should fit, but has anyone successfully done this?

Altima SE-R crossmember is different than the 4th gen Maximas, so the headers themselves will bolt up, however the Y-pipe will not fit.

thanks for the fast reply.. that kinda sucks for me. I have a Cattman catback spec for the 4th Gen on the car now. I want more power but I don't want to deal with a ton of noise or some ricer style exhaust tone. Basically looking for something cost conscious that sounds decent.

Sound is 90% controlled by the muffler, run the stock muffler and you'll sound stock.
