question about 99 ecu swaps
Hey my current computer is giving me probs so i am looking for another one, now my question is, when i swap them out would i have to reprogram anything since 99's have the immobilizers with them or would everything work fine.

The ECU has to be programmed for the transponder chip that is in the key you use. So when you change the ECU, it has to have the "new to it" keys programmed in. Therefore, when you change the ECU, you won't be able to start the car. I don't know if a local locksmith can do this without having a working key to begin with or if you need the dealer with the Nissan Consult computer.
