Suggestions needed!

First off, I already got all of my maintenance taken care of. Everything seems in order. I also installed my y pipe and CAI last week as well. I'm now focusing on the front end of the car. I already have added some things (r34's and clear bumper's) but I want to enhance the look a bit. I really don't know what direction to go in. I know that body work is usually on the expensive side but I am on a limited budget for now.

Here are some pics of my max:
(Ignore some of the knicks on the bumper, it will be repainted)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some things I had in mind to start the process:
1. Stillen lip--even though I haven't dropped my car yet it still might look better
2. Paint inside of headlights black-may go better with grille. What would I use to paint them????
3. fogs- this could get pricey though
4. possibly putting 97-99 bumper on??? Or doing something with two black ovals on bumper.
5. Paint the white part of grille black. Again, what would you suggest I paint this with??
6. blacking out bumpers instead of clears.

Add whatever you think I should do that isn't going to cost me a leg. I really like the look of flava's max even though I know that with my budget there is no way to match his.

I am considering going with the 97-99 conversion but I can't really find a bumper under $100. Again, just mention where you think I should go with this project.

If you paint it again, keep it the same color. That looks like a white pearl which is one of my favorite colors.

Everyone is going to have a different opinion. Just look at some cars that you like and ask the owner if you want to know what they did and the costs. You are making it look you like after all.

Yeah. I am considering the 97-99 conversion with a lip and grille. Anyone know where to get bumpers for a decent price?

Stillen lip is the way to go. It definitely helps the front end out a lot, just look at my sig. Don't do the '97-'99 front end conversion, that's played out.

I agree as well haha. I am in a pickle. I guess with a lip and a drop it will greatly enhance the look. Plus im sitting on 02 Maxima rims right now so it wont look half bad.

i'd say make it your priority to get a front lip n foglights...n if i was you i'd do something about that grille...try and spray paint the top part black to make it look a little bigger n maybe use a bigger nissan emblem

That look isn't bad. I agree with the grille and also think I might paint the headlights black and smoke the bumpers.

Keep up the 95-96 look. Get the OEM fogs, they are simple if the harness is already installed like mine was, they are $100-200 in near mint with bulbs, and they help a lot with look. Maybe go with 20" rims, I dont bottom out anymore....

Anyone know a "how-to" to paint the front bumper. What paint should I use (QNO is my paint code) and is it worth doing it myself or taking it to a shop?

well it depends...if this is yur first time painting then i wouldn't recommend that you do it yerself...however if you still wanna do it yerself then just have somebody with you who has had experience in painting before...dat way if you mess up they can letchu knw(ma 1st painting experience i had ma autotech professor by me when he let me paint his 67 corvette blue)...

-you would have to sand da bumper first...
(if you're painting the whole bumper then i would suggest you take the front bumper off...dat way you'll be able to get the edges easily)
-as far as primer on a bumper is concerned use it only if the surface doesn't feel smooth otherwise i don't think its required..
google/youtube on how to paint a car bumper...am pretty sure you'll find some video on youtube that'll guide you step by step...gud luck

Thanks. I have done it before on a different car, it shouldnt be too hard. The real question I have is painting the inside of my lights and/or the bumper. Will high-heat spray paint work for the lights? What about spoiler?

I went ahead and painted an extra pair of bumpers I had:

Which do you like better?
Would it look better if I spray painted white part of grille black?
