Lock Actuator Location

I know its located in the door but I couldn't find a good picture of a naked door to locate it. Is it part of the window/lock switch or is it in a separate location? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

I am working on a door right now..

the actuator is part of the door lock and the Door handle.

If this isnt helpful PM me and I will send you a picture tonight.

also just type 98 Maxima door actuator into the search feature under ebay and one should pop up

ps if you need help taking it off let me know.

The key is removing the rear window rail which blocks your access to the inside of the door handle and lock .

Look for an 8mm bolt on the lower side of the door edge. Unscrew it. The top side of the window rail is "pinch fit" Wiggle it gently back and forth and it the window rail will come loose.

The lock and the actuator and the pushrod linkage will then be very very easy to work on.

I'm trying to replace my actuator as well. The thing is my door doesn't open to remove the door panel. Anyone know any tricks to get around this?
