u got the FSM?

There are a lot of procedures that the FSM and Haynes do not specify how to complete. I think this is one of those procedures.

I looked in my chiltons and couldnt find anything. Chances are you need a star key. You can find these at home depot.

it's a special key for all parts in the air bag system. When i did my interior swap (black conversion) all the air bag bolts had that. Including the modules.

When I removed my dash I had to use a T-50 tamper resistant star bit to remove the air bag.

^^ he has helped you with the right size. The name of the tool is torx bits. Get that size to get the bolts off. There are some that come with an adapter to attach to your ratchet.

Is the AZ tool for the tamper resistant screws mentioned by the OP? Those screws have a "pin" in the middle which requires a matching hole in the bit. These are not as common as ordinary Torx bits, if they were then they wouldn't be so tamper resistant. If you can't find them locally I know several tool supply companies that sell them including, I believe, McMaster(.com).

I swapped my dash this weekend. This is the tool i used. It sucked big time.

The short end has the hole but the long end doesnt... It took forever.
