Altima Value

It seems like an Altima is a poor mans Maxima but for the money it looks like a bargain. Any known issues with Altima reliabilty.

How much of a difference in the quickness of the two? Are there more performance mods for an Altima than there are for Maximas?

Reliability on the new 2002 Altima? Not enough data yet?
I have 94 Altima GXE auto bought new. The only "repair" is the muffler
that I happen to find one rust spot, not a through hole yet. Dealer was nice ans said it would rust through anyway so we replace it (under warranty). Other than that, nothing. It has about 78K miles now.
